4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills offered through a variety of settings: Clubs, schools, day camps, overnight camps, afterschool, and other learning environments. 4-H gives kids and teens opportunities to experience life skills and to practice them in a safe environment with caring adults. There are many project areas to fit all interests—not just agriculture. Best of all 4-H is Free* to all members!
Most clubs meet 1-2 times per month, year-round, Club leaders set their own meeting times and locations.

Bit of Blue
Bit of Blue 4-H club primarily focuses on horses, but we have kids who do poultry, lambs/goats, etc. Your child does not have to ride horses to join. We also have horse bowl, Artistic expression with horses, horse Hippology and more. In addition, I have one member who rides horses but not with our trainer and another member who does not ride at all but participates in our horse related contest outside of riding.

East Carolina 4-H club is a general interest club, however, they do have strong ties to entomology related projects!
Age: All ages, 5-18
Meeting Day & Time: Fridays, 9–11 a.m., once a month

Club Focus: Entomology, and varied projects

Mane Challengers
Mane Challengers’ main focus is livestock, however, youth participate in a variety of 4-H events and are also heavily involved with leadership, community service, and citizenship projects.
Age: All ages, 5-18

All-Stars’ main focus is on civic engagement, however, youth also participate in various STEM and community service events throughout the year.

Pitt County 4-H Shooting Sports
PCSS is a shooting sports club that provides a learning environment for the development of knowledge and life skills in the disciplines of archery, shotgun, rifle, muzzleloaders, and pistol to youth in all areas of the county.

CloverQuest:
This club is designed to introduce youth ages 5-7 to 4-H! Each meeting will focus on different H’s (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health). Activities will include but are not limited to: Livestock, STEM, Health Living, Arts, Global Thinking + more!

We welcome the opportunity for additional clubs within Pitt County! A club requires at least 5 youth from 3 different families and a caring adult volunteer. Clubs can cover a wide range of topics such as science, livestock, horses, service projects, art, etc.
Potential Club Topics:
- Photography Club
- Cloverbud Club for ages 5-7
- SPIN Club: Choose a topic and lead a club for 6 weeks instead of a full year!
- Community Club: Focused on Pitt County and the creation of a service project to be enacted throughout the year.
- Horse Club
- Shooting Sports
- Environmental Education
*There is no fee to join 4-H. Some clubs, workshops, and activities will have fees associated with them to help cover the cost of materials.
